5/19/17 – 144 days to DRACULA The Tale of Flesh & Blood!  TGIFF (Thank God It’s Frightening Friday) DracFact: The first American Gothic/Horror Soap Opera was DARK SHAWDOWS which introduced the character of Vampire Barnabas Collins, played by Jonathan Frid. Barnabas was unique in the vampire lore of its day having a tremendous guilt-complex, over his thirst for blood! The series was extremely popular in its hey-day for among other qualities, the amusing campiness, gaffs and seemingly low production values.
